Update 01/27/2021: We have revised and strengthened the barrel nut as well as added the option for SS to the lineup. The new nut has a "hood" on it that covers the tenon threads left on the barrel and streamlines the fit on the receiver. The outside of the barrel nut still fits in the Tikka T3x chassis handguard mount as well.This rifle left us disappointed because we have never shot a Tikka product which doesn’t shoot well. The rifle will be cleaned and all the mounts checked, including the action screws and then we will do some more accuracy testing. Ruger has a 2 position tang safety, Tikka has a 3 position rocker up by the rear of the action. Ruger has a blade in trigger style trigger, Tikka does not. Ruger uses a rotary magazine, Tikka uses a single stack. The Tikka T3x and CVA Cascade are both great options for a reliable and accurate rifle at a reasonable price point. The Tikka T3x is known for its smooth action and crisp trigger, while the CVA Cascade offers a great value for its accuracy and features. Both rifles have a good reputation for quality and reliability. I have a Tikka and a couple Americans. Tikka is definitely a nicer rifle but there's a lot to like about the Ruger.
