Then at 38 weeks 3 days my water broke and when I checked into the hospital I was the same as my 37 week appointment. I wasn't dilated at all at 37+5. I went into labor at 38+3. So you never know! With my first, I was dilated to 3cm and 80% effaced. My water broke 2 hrs after my 39 week ...My doc doesn't seem worried about it but I am haha. I’m 1cm dilated with contractions every 8 min that last 30-40 seconds. I was put on bed rest and a medication to stop the contractions. I’m 30 weeks.
